Uno Pouf

$449 $695

Welcome flexibility with the Uno Pouf, a prime example of Japandi design, where Scandinavian minimalism and Japanese tactile craftsmanship meet. Uno is the perfect playful furniture piece that is flexible, functional, and easy to move around as needed.

Swedish architecture and design studio Claesson Koivisto Rune initially designed the Uno Pouf for a hotel. "Uno was designed for a hotel where flexibility is of paramount importance," says Eero Koivisto of Claesson Koivisto Rune. "Perched on a seating without [a] backrest...you will also adopt a more active body language." Sitting on or closer to the floor is a hallmark of Japanese minimalism, where benches and stools are commonly used to encourage a more active posture.

Yet, the Uno Pouf is firm yet soft, with an organic silhouette reminiscent of a mushroom.

"Design objects need to be friendly, not hard, sharp, or aggressive," remarks Eero Koivisto. "design should make you comfortable and at ease."
