Modern benches are a staple piece of furniture in the modern Scandinavian home.

• By the front door as entryway benches: place a bench near your front door or mudroom for a handy place to put on shoes, storing outdoor accessories and other items beneath to maximize space.
• In the living room as additional seating: A bench takes up a small amount of floor space while adding ample seating. While not in use as a seat, style it against a wall to display art, books, and other decor items.
