Part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Flos Toio Floor Lamp is a playful, industrial design that brings interest and texture to any styled interior.
The contemporary floor lamp was designed by brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, who were inspired by a car’s headlight. An enamel steel base that supports a hexagon shaped, nickel-plated brass stem which holds fishing rod rings used to guide the electrical cord from the bulb to the transformer. A cleat on the base, like that found on a boat or ship, serves as a functional element designed to keep the cord neatly coiled in when the lamp is adjusted to a lower height.
Toio comes with an LED bulb and provides indirect light. Adjustable height. Available in black, red or white finish.
