Design House Stockholm Rugs & Textiles blend innovative design with artisanal craftsmanship, offering pieces that add both warmth and artistic flair to any space.
Basket Rug
Designed by Lana Bergström, this unique rug pays homage to traditionally woven baskets and rucksacks. Made entirely by hand, the weaving effect is made by hand-tufting in different directions. Once complete, the rug is carefully cut by hand into the tromp l'oil graphic pattern. We love the use of sharp angles and sharp transition in this area rug that comes in four sizes in beige, grey, dark grey, and green.
Björk Rug
“The birch, a tree that can be found all over Sweden, is my inspiration for the Björk collection,” says designer Lena Bergström. “The textile forms a beautiful surface in the home, as natural as stone or wood. To me Björk is like poetry, like a quiet whisper in the room.” Björk, which means birch tree in Swedish, features intricate leather details and a marbled effect made through the process of intertwining different colored wool yarns in the weft. Each rug is woven by hand.
Pleece Throw
First introduced in 1997 by Marianne Abelsson, the Pleece Throw has a timeless simplicity and a quality that suprasses trends. In fact, the Pleece Throw continues to be one of Design House Stockholm's bestsellers, and even has a place in the Museum of Modern Art store in New York City. Please is made with a unique blend of polyester and viscose, unli8ke any other fleece fabrics. The pleating process makes the throw extra soft and voluminous.
