Kay Bojesen Guardsman w/ Sword (1940)
Kay Bojesen first created his Royal Life Guard soldiers in 1940 as a tribute to King Christian X for his 70th birthday. Originally, these figures stood outside Bojesen's shop in Bredgade. In 1942, he designed smaller figures, including the Officer, who carries a saber as the regiment's leader. When placing the saber, gently insert it until secure—no need to push it in fully. A great gift idea that will last a lifetime for both children and adults.
